This is a text box for the description of your piece. Like anything else on OPP, if you do not choose to add any content, it does not appear as blank, but is simply not shown at all. For example: If you do not enter the media info for your piece, the dimensions will follow directly after the date - with no blank space.
And then some!
When an image is uploaded from the control panel, a thumbnail of that image is automatically created. Or you can choose to add your own custom thumbnail instead. For example: you can upload a detail of a larger more complex image.
